PROJECT: 30 Days of Bridal Bouquets ~ Day #18

Bridal Bouquet in Red & Purple

This December bride’s bouquet was one of the most unusual bridal bouquets I’ve ever created. The dramatic colors and unconventional materials I chose combined many contrasts and textures ~ from elegant roses and ranunculus to rustic berries, thistles and pods.

The bridal bouquet seemed to create itself in spite of me, and I wasn’t at all sure it would please the bride. To my great relief, she seemed to love the finished bouquet ~ and that’s always what matters most!

In the pictures below, you’ll see a bird’s eye view of this unique bridal bouquet, pictures of several bridesmaid bouquets in a wicker basket, all the boutonnieres ~ and one of the many small and colorful table centerpieces used for the reception. Although it was a challenging project for me, I was delighted with the way it all turned out!

  1. I just can’t believe you…what glorious colors for a December wedding, so vibrant for that dark time of year.

Loved our talk yesterday and was so glad to hear you feeling better. Way to go, girl.

    We’ll talk soon.

    Much love, N
