A Seasonal Wreath
One of my cute nieces, Amy, ordered a new wreath for her front door, so this is what I created in her favorite colors. It works for almost every season ~ from winter to summer, through fall and right into the holidays.
I combined vibrant red sunflowers and hydrangeas, a mix of various types and colors of green leaves and berries, and bright chartreuse hops for a striking contrast. I hot-glued all their stems into the branches of a grapevine wreath and topped it with a wide red bow of wired silk ribbon. (All materials are from Michaels).
To make this wreath Christmas-y — all Amy has to do is wire a few shiny balls randomly in amongst the foliage – and in 5 minutes and with almost no cost, she has a wonderful Christmas wreath that everyone will admire!
This is a simple, quick trick you can also use if you have an appropriate year-round wreath. Try it!
