Christmas Arrangement for the Entryway

Fresh Greens + Artificial Flowers and Berries = An Easy, Dramatic Statement

This is a big fresh-looking arrangement I created for my front porch last Christmas. I gathered a mix of greenery from my yard and from our nearby park, including some branches of dark green pittosporum with shiny leaves, and two kinds of evergreen.

I packed the branches tightly (in water) in an old chipped white ceramic pot I had rescued from a friend’s giveaway pile. (You could search second-hand stores and see what you can find.)

Next, I added a few big red silk hydrangea stems and some beautiful bright-red Christmas berries covered with “snow.” (I purchased these materials at Michaels.)

That’s all I did – and the arrangement made a wonderful, welcoming statement placed on an old crate in front of a vintage Palladian window I’ve had for years. I love the way it turned out – and it’s so easy, you can do it, too!
